The Morning Roundup

The Morning Roundup 5/1/2012

A limited selection of some okay deals here on May 1st.  Though all of these would be great if you lived in Southern Maryland.  Maybe it will take a bit for the month to ramp up.  Fingers Crossed.

Fifty-Fifty: I will definitely be getting this deal for %50 off of Tanad Thai up to $20 in Tenleytown.  This is because I live in Tenleytown.  For the rest if you, its standard scoutmob.  Get it if you are nearby or love Thai.  This new restaurant’s previous iteration, 4912 Thai was something of a Thai food staple for those who frequent the no mans land between Tenleytown and Friendship Heights.  The new revamped restaurant is said to be even better.  The kicker is that the discount isn’t very high, for a relatively pricey place.  Hit it up for the lunch special if you find yourself way up Wisconsin.

Fifty-Fifty: With a rather steeply priced menu and some questions about service, I can’t give Groupon’s 20 for 40 OR 40 for 80 at Tandoori Time more than a fifty-fifty.  With well liked Indian cuisine, this restaurant’s Bethesda and Gaithersburg locales may be worth the visit for a couple or small group of friends, but with so many great Indian options all over the city, I can take it or leave it.

Fifty-Fifty:  I hate to give another Fifty-Fifty, but Google Offers’ Woodside Deli has a lot of pro’s and one big con.  Though it looks really terrific, it may be a serious pain for some to get out to rockville to spend their $15 for $30 deal.  But if you like Diners and gigantic menus filled with what appears to be near infinite choices this is a good option.  Also, prices aren’t too high, so 30 can likely feed more than three people, always a rare treat inside the beltway.
