Finally a few good deals. They aren’t the best I’ve seen, but good enough for a Tuesday.
Must Buy: While Sette Osteria (1666 Connecticut Ave., NW) may not be the best place in the city for brunch, today’s Capitol Deal is great. $16 gets you an entree and bottomless Mimosas, Bellinis, or coffee (don’t choose coffee). I’m a fan of bottomless drinking in all it’s forms, so throw in some food and you’re going to have one happy camper. This is a solid deal for a lazy Sunday.Read On
Lot’s to see here on this Wednesday. We got quite a few deals of all different qualities.
Must Buy: We like pizza. We like beer. Today’s Capitol Deal gives us both. $12 gets you a personal pizza and two beers at Pizza No. 17 (1523 17th St., NW). Even if the pizza isn’t the best in the city (it’s pretty good), this deal is made on the two beers. You can use multiple vouchers at one time so grab your friends and head on over.
Must Buy: When we lived in Tenleytown for a while our go-to for trivia was Union Jack’s in Bethesda (4915 Saint Elmo Ave., Bethesda).Read On
Happy Wednesday y’all. The weather is still glorious so I hope you eat outside.
Must Buy (Foggy Bottom Only): Lunch is always a conundrum around my office. Where to eat? Am I sick of this place yet? Why do we keep going to the same three places? These are all questions that can plague you. When you get a good deal, however, it makes your decision easier. Today Google Offers brings you a deal for not one, but THREE lunch combos (sandwich, chips, drink) to Capitol Grounds Coffee (2100 Pennsylvania Ave. NW).Read On
Welcome to Thursday. We are now officially less than two weeks from football season. Can you feel it? Let’s get to it.
Must Buy: Yesterday Groupon had a late deal that I want to tell you about. It’s very similar to a deal we ran a few months ago, so I’m going to mostly plagiarize myself. I’m a big fan of a prix fixe menu. I often am overwhelmed by choices, and restauranteurs generally know what’s best on the menu. This menus, however, can often be expensive. Today’s LivingSocial Groupon deal is anything but. $38 to Toscana Café (601 2nd St., NE) gets you a three course dinner for 2 or $78 for 4.Read On
We’re back in the saddle. I hope you ate as well as I did this weekend. We have a couple of deals this morning. Also don’t forget to follow us on twitter @EatTheDistrict, and keep submitting your questions to email@example.com.
Must Buy: Free bagel alert! I will eat a free bagel no matter what so Scoutmob’s deal to SOVA Espresso and Wine (1359 H St., NE) makes me really happy. Go in, grab a free bagel, and snag a coffee. Sounds like a pretty ideal morning combination. All you H Street folks shouldn’t miss this.Read On
