The Morning Roundup

The Morning Roundup 04/05/2012

Good morning!  Here’s today’s Morning Roundup:

This deal is too good to pass up.

Must Buy: This deal actually went live yesterday afternoon (and we tweeted it over at @eatthedistrict), but Google Offers’ $5 for $10 at Starbucks deal is too much of a no-brainer not to include. Plus, for every deal purchased Starbucks donates $3 to the Create Jobs for USA fund, so you can pretend you’re buying this for charity and not just because you’re mildly addicted to their grande nonfat double shot caramel macchiato.  There’s limited availability, so get this deal now!

Fifty-Fifty: Sur la Place, where LivingSocial is offering a $20 for $40 deal for food and drinks, is not cheap, and if you’re looking for a coupon that covers a meal for two than you’re better off skipping this deal.  But the restaurant’s variety of mussel pots for $22, along with its extensive list of Belgian beers, makes this an ideal place to sit at the bar with a friend, eat your way through a kilo of mussels, and have a couple of drinks: something we’re definitely fans of.

Avoid: District Nightclub, today’s featured Scoutmob location, is a place to party, not a place to eat.  Skip the food here and eat at any number of cheaper, better options in the neighborhood.

That’s it for the Morning Roundup.  Check in later for our first Restaurant Review, and come back tomorrow morning for more Daily Deals! Happy Opening Day, baseball fans!
