Must Buy: Today Scoutmob is offering half off at Zabb Modern Asian with a twenty dollar max discount. Any time Scoutmob puts up a sushi restaurant I am tempted to give it a go. There is nothing quite so wonderful as $40 of sushi for only $20. This Dupont restaurant is mostly known as an overflow happy hour hotspot from Mexican pre-game party factory Lauriol Plaza. But with an accomplished and innovative sushi chef making some creative rolls, Zabb looks like it ought to be a destination all its own. My advice though would be to avoid the entrees, as the kitchen here seems to be confused about what it wants to be (see pad thai with spaghetti noodles… I just don’t know) and they all cost a bit too much. Stick to the sushi bar, get a few fancy rolls and then cut your bill in half like the culinary samurai you always knew you were.
