Avoid: It is hard to give a Scoutmob deal an avoid ranking but I just have to with their %50 off El Tamarindo. A max discount of ten dollars really wont come close to covering two entrees here, most of which seem to be in the $13 area. Also, the restaurant seems to advertise its sangria pretty heavily even though this too seems over priced. Perhaps, this is due to it’s proximity to Adam’s Morgan. This could be a good pregame deal, but it is only usable Sunday through Thursday, further reducing its utility. The only shining light on the menu is their low priced papusas and tamales, but with all the good Mexican and El Salvadorian cuisine all over the city, you can probably just let this one go.
