Must Buy: In Tenleytown we don’t have a lot of dining options. So when of our go-tos has a deal, we take notice. The Capitol Deal’s $7 for $15 to Z-Burger (multiple locations) is going to a big seller up our way. I really like their food. The burgers are good, the hot dogs are better, and whoa those shakes. If I’m getting a shake, I’m getting a chocolate peanut butter malted.
Must Buy: I really like Haydee’s in Mount Pleasant. A really laid back spot with awesome food that doesn’t break the bank. Sounds perfect right? Now add $25 for $50 OR $50 for $100 from Groupon, and you’re in serious business.
Avoid: So here’s the problem with Scoutmob’s deal today to Freddie’s Beach Bar and Restaurant: NO BOOZE. For a deal to a bar, you have to be able to buy alcohol. If you can’t, then unfortunately why bother? This deal also excludes their weekend buffet.
Avoid: Too expensive, too mediocre, why bother? This was the feeling I got reading over LivingSocial’s $15 for $30 deal to Asia Nine. There’s plenty of reasonably priced amazing sushi and Asian food in DC you don’t need this one.
